Jude Bellingham has been recognized as the most valuable players in the world, with an astonishing value of £238 million.
The English superstar, Jude Bellingham, will be one of the most notable names when he takes the field in the upcoming Champions League final between Real Madrid and Dortmund.
After a stellar first season with Real Madrid, the value of the midfielder, born in 2003, has skyrocketed. Just 12 months after moving to the Bernabeu for £88 million from Dortmund, Bellingham’s value has nearly tripled according to the Swiss-based Football Observatory (CIES).
The data analysts have reviewed over 5,500 paid transfer deals to help compile their latest updated assessment of the world’s top players.
Notably, Bellingham, along with two other England stars, made it into the top six. According to CIES analysts, Phil Foden is currently valued at £174 million, while Bukayo Saka is valued at £166 million.
However, it is Bellingham’s remarkable rise, surpassing Erling Haaland in second place and Real Madrid teammate Vinicius Junior, that truly demonstrates the former Birmingham midfielder’s influence.
CIES criteria include “age, contract duration, playing minutes and starts, performance level, results, the economic strength of the player’s club and league, potential recruiting clubs, and inflation” to determine open market value.
According to the statisticians, Bellingham is now worth over £21 million more than second-placed Haaland, despite the Norwegian scoring 90 goals in just 98 appearances for Manchester City.
Meanwhile, Bellingham has scored 23 goals in 43 appearances in his first season at Real Madrid, despite playing in various positions within Carlo Ancelotti’s tactical setup.
Chelsea’s Cole Palmer just missed out on the top 10, ranking 12th with a value of £108 million—doubling his value since moving to Chelsea. Surprisingly, Declan Rice is currently valued at £88 million, a 12% decrease from the £100 million fee that Arsenal paid to bring him in last summer.
