The European Football Association (UEFA) has officially announced the Euro 2024 Team of the Tournament, featuring the most deserving names.
Recently, UEFA revealed the 11 standout players who made it into the Euro 2024 Team of the Tournament. These players impressed on the fields of Germany over more than a month of eating, sleeping, and breathing football.
The team is arranged in the familiar 4-3-3 formation and features many stars from the Spanish national team, the newly crowned champions of the continent after a very impressive victory.
Spain has the most representatives with six players: Nico Williams, Lamine Yamal, Fabian Ruiz, Dani Olmo, Rodri, and Cucurella.
France contributes the second most players, with two: center-back William Saliba and goalkeeper Maignan.
Germany’s only star in the team is young forward Jamal Musiala.
The final two honored positions are center-back Manuel Akanji of Switzerland and full-back Kyle Walker of England.
Looking at the Team of the Tournament, it is clear that Euro 2024 was an unexpectedly successful tournament for football fans worldwide and especially for the Spanish. La Roja not only returned to the continental throne after a 12-year wait, with three disappointing Euros in between, but also successfully introduced a new generation of young talents truly worth watching in the future.
