French referee Francois Letexier has been assigned by UEFA to officiate the Euro 2024 final between England and Spain.
The final at the Berlin Olympic Stadium will be the fourth match in this tournament overseen by the 35-year-old referee, who has been an international referee since 2017.
Letexier will work alongside assistants Cyril Mugnier and Mehdi Rahmouni for the final, scheduled at 8:00 PM on July 14th (UK time), with Polish referee Szymon Marciniak serving as the fourth official.
In recent years, Letexier’s reputation has been rising rapidly as he has been chosen to officiate numerous matches in the Champions League and Europa League. Recently, he also served as the fourth official in the 2024 Champions League final between Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid at Wembley.
He was also the referee for the 2023 UEFA Super Cup match between Manchester City and Sevilla in Piraeus, Greece.
Additionally, Francois Letexier has been involved in a controversial incident with English referee Will Still over what were alleged to be “inappropriate and unprofessional” remarks.
