The Czech Republic officially bids farewell to Euro 2024.

The Czech Republic was unable to defeat Turkey in the final match of Group A at Euro 2024, thereby officially bidding farewell to the tournament.

On the evening of June 26 (UK time), the Czech Republic faced Turkey in the final match of Group F at Euro 2024.

Needing a win to secure a place in the next round, the Czech Republic pushed forward aggressively from the start. Meanwhile, Turkey played a slow, patient game, waiting for opportunities.

The match was highly contested, with numerous rough challenges between the two teams. Notably, Czech midfielder Antonín Barák received a red card in the 20th minute for a dangerous tackle.

Playing with a numerical advantage, Turkey dominated possession in the closing minutes of the first half. However, both teams were still without a goal.

After the break, Turkey continued to dominate and imposed their style of play. The Czech Republic, being a man down, found it difficult to launch effective attacks.

In the 52nd minute, Turkey’s continuous pressure finally paid off with a goal. Çalhanoğlu scored with a powerful shot from inside the box.

Despite being a goal down and a man down, the Czech Republic did not collapse. They managed to equalize soon after.

In the 66th minute, a throw-in combination by the Czech led to a chaotic situation in Turkey’s penalty area. Soucek capitalized on the loose ball to score the equalizer, making it 1-1.

At this point, the Czech Republic needed another goal to advance. Therefore, Ivan Hašek’s squad went all out in the final minutes of the second half. However, Turkey’s defense remained solid and successfully preserved the score.

In the end, the Czech Republic drew 1-1 with Turkey after a tense 90 minutes. This result allowed Turkey to advance by finishing second in the group.
