The England national team officially ‘takes the field’, ready for their journey to win the Euro 2024 cup

Not long after gathering, the England national team officially held their first training session in preparation for the Euro 2024 campaign, which will take place in Germany in June 2024.

The England team has not yet assembled all its players, but coach Gareth Southgate and his squad have already had their first training session to prepare for two friendly matches next week as part of their Euro 2024 preparations. During the first training session, the England players appeared quite cheerful, optimistic, and smiling in front of the camera.

The appearance of Luke Shaw attracted attention, as he has recently struggled with recovery from a muscle injury that has sidelined him since mid-February at Man Utd. Similarly, Harry Maguire, the Red Devils’ center-back, has also been out for a month due to injury.

On the day of gathering and the first training session, some players from Man Utd and Man City were exempted from participation as they had just played in the FA Cup final last weekend at Wembley. These players include John Stones, Phil Foden, Kyle Walker, Jack Grealish, and Kobbie Mainoo. It is known that these five players will not participate in the friendly match against Bosnia in Newcastle in the early hours of June 4th.

Jude Bellingham has the Champions League final with Real Madrid this weekend, so he is expected not to participate in either of the two friendly matches next week with the England team. However, in preparation for these matches, coach Southgate may experiment with the squad, including four Crystal Palace players: forward Eberchi Eze, midfielder Adam Wharton, defender Marc Guehi, and goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

Additionally, there is the duo of Ezri Konsa and Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa, and forward Harry Kane from Bayern Munich. The England captain had an impressive debut season in the Bundesliga, winning the European Golden Shoe.
